- Private Island in BVI Imagine living and working on a stunning private island in the British Virgin Islands, managing a luxurious estate and providing exceptional service to a “high-net-worth” family.
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Island Estate Manager or Estate Couple to oversee the operations of this exclusive private island including multiple villas, beach house, cottage, boat docks, tiki hut, workshops, staff housing and water equipment. This position requires a live-on-island status. Working hours are expected to be flexible, adapting to island and family needs. Due to limited housing and the remote nature of the property, this position is best suited for individuals or couples without accompanying children. Seeking 1st class Estate Manager to bring this property up to the highest standards of hospitality, property management, amenities oversite, landscaping, budgeting/forecasting/reporting, and guest satisfaction. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and a team of 11 (marine mechanic, housekeeper, grounds, maintenance and chef). Will serve as key contact for capital improvements, identifying top-shelf vendors and subcontractors. Must be hands-on, proactive, and highly organized individual who thrives in a dynamic and luxurious environment.
Essential Skills:
Must have 5 years of management experience with ultra high-net worth “UHNW” clientele. Hospitality, resort management or high-end yachting will be considered Prior Caribbean, Island or remote logistic experience strongly preferred Solid understanding of property management and grounds/landscape including maintenance of key systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, solar, desalination, and irrigation) Effective project management, time management, and problem-solving skills Proven financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis Strong leadership abilities with experience managing employees and service providers Tech savvy and proficient in Excel, accounting software and project management programs Licensed Captain or Boat Master certification ideal Must have clean background and a clean driver’s license High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality Exceptional polished communication skills, both written and verbal
