Hours:
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Pay:
Depending on Experience We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Property Manager with hands-on experience in HUD compliance, low-income housing programs, and Section 8 administration. The ideal candidate will support the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Key responsibilities for the
Assistant Property Manager:
Assist with daily property operations including leasing, rent collection, and resident relations Ensure compliance with HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing regulations Process resident certifications and recertifications (initial, annual, and interim) Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and inspections Conduct property tours and assist with leasing activities Address resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Support in managing vendor contracts, work orders, and supplies Assist in preparing budgets, reports, and other administrative tasks as needed Qualifications for the
Assistant Property Manager:
: 2+ years of experience in property management with a focus on HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 programs Working knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and affordable housing regulations Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities Bilingual (preferred, but not required) Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), or similar credentials/experience – is a plus
