OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Lead with excellence, creating a productive, safe, and professional environment for all Community Staff and residents. Direct and coordinate Community operations, fostering a collaborative management team that embraces shared authority, responsibilities, and duties. Your leadership will ensure that our Community strives for 100% occupancy, resident satisfaction, and operates within budget, all while upholding our core values of People, Passion, and Excellence.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Minimum of six (6) years of management experience, including operational and financial expertise in managing employees, customer service, budgeting, purchasing, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable
- Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Strong team player with excellent public-relations skills. Proficiency in computer use and relevant software applications is preferred
- Experience in serving senior citizens and familiarity with relevant laws and Human Resources principles is strongly preferred
- Effective communication skills (in English), both verbal and written, with residents and staff
- Dedication to mentoring and coaching Community employees to success
- Knowledge of risk/loss control and maintenance
- Understanding of marketing aspects, including sales skills, advertising, census management, and public relations
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under time constraints to meet deadlines
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass company and state-regulated criminal record clearance, health screening, and TB clearance
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership :
Provide leadership, supervision, training, guidance, and communication, overseeing all aspects of Community management with a focus on:
Census :
Develop and implement strategies to achieve and maintain 100% occupancy through effective community relations, special events, direct inquiries, and tours. Engage in community outreach, follow-up on inquiries, and conduct prospective resident tours in collaboration with the
Sales & Marketing Director Budget :
Participate in the annual budget formulation, adhere to the approved budget, and seek approval for exceptions from the
Regional Vice President of Operations Resident Relations :
Maintain resident satisfaction through personal interactions. Address residents’ well-being and suitability, conduct monthly resident meetings, and respond promptly to emergency calls and complaints, ensuring solutions meet company standards
Marketing :
Train management teams in effective phone and marketing skills, tours, and follow-up. Ensure compliance with the company marketing plan and maximize resident retention
Human Resources :
Develop and maintain a high-quality staff that ensures resident satisfaction. Oversee hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, performance management, discipline, and discharge. Foster a positive team environment among employees and residents
Compliance :
Ensure adherence to company policies, state and federal regulations, and other applicable rules. Maintain community records accordingly
Food Service :
Collaborate with the Community Executive Chef to manage budgeting, inventory, compliance, and meal preparation. Ensure attractive, balanced meals and maintain clean, safe kitchen and dining facilities
Maintenance :
Address and resolve day-to-day building and ground maintenance issues through maintenance staff, contractors, or the
Support Office Accounting :
Submit timely financial reports and invoices, recording revenue and expenses per company guidelines
Safety :
Maintain the Community Safety Program, enforce monthly employee Safety Committee meetings, report injuries promptly, and manage injury claims with
Community Human Resources Problem Solving :
Provide timely resolutions to Community issues using available resources and following company guidelines. Address concerns through weekly Management Team meetings and manage day-to-day aspects in the absence of the Community Management team
Emergency Response :
Share responsibility with Community Managers to handle emergencies, evaluate resident needs, and take appropriate actions
Profitability :
Oversee programs to ensure Community profitability and success
Meetings :
Attend required conferences, training sessions, and managerial meetings
Delegation :
Assign responsibilities to staff members to meet Community needs
Business Hours :
Maintain normal business hours and perform additional duties as necessary for continuous Community operation
Other Duties :
