Job Description Position Summary:

The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of rental properties. This role helps ensure tenant satisfaction, timely maintenance, lease compliance, and smooth administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Leasing & Tenant Relations Respond to tenant inquiries and service requests promptly Assist with lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs Schedule property showings and assist with application processing Maintenance & Inspections Submit and track work orders Conduct routine property inspections Follow up on maintenance requests to ensure timely completion Coordinate vendor access and supervise contractors on site Administrative Support Maintain tenant records and digital files in property management software (e.g., Buildium, AppFolio) Assist with rent collection and deposit tracking Prepare lease documents and notices (late rent, lease violations, etc.) Support annual property audits and reporting Financial & Reporting Assist in preparing monthly owner reports and expense tracking Review utility bills, invoices, and vendor payments Support budget planning and cost-saving initiatives Compliance & Licensing Help ensure properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations Track expiration dates for insurance, licenses, and permits

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in property management preferred , admin support Strong communication and organizational skills Familiarity with property management software (Buildium, AppFolio, etc.) preferred Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and local rental regulations Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
