Job Summary The Patrol Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security within assigned areas, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing assistance to the public. This role involves proactive surveillance, conflict resolution, and effective communication to deter criminal activity and promote a safe environment. Duties Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure safety. Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and calls for assistance from the public or other law enforcement agencies. Enforce laws and regulations of the community while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to monitor activities and gather evidence as needed. Document incidents accurately in reports and maintain detailed records of daily activities. Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to address criminal behavior or emergencies. Provide first aid and CPR when required, ensuring the health and safety of individuals in distress. Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Skills Certification in law enforcement or related field is preferred. Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies. Familiarity with surveillance systems and CCTV operation. Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle disputes or confrontations. Ability to perform first aid and CPR in emergency situations. Experience in militarized environments is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying unusual behavior or potential threats. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with the public and other stakeholders.
