This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in property operations, leasing strategy, outreach marketing and team leadership. This is not a behind-the-desk job. The ideal candidate will have the initiative to lead from the front, set daily goals for their team, maintain strong resident relationships, and collaborate regularly with vendors and stakeholders. If you take pride in running a tight ship, building community culture, and delivering results — we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

As Community Director, you’ll oversee all daily operations of the property, supervise the onsite team, and be accountable for achieving occupancy and financial goals.

Your key responsibilities include:
Team Leadership:

You’ll lead a team that includes leasing and maintenance professionals. This includes setting daily priorities, coaching staff, and creating a collaborative, performance-driven environment.

Leasing Management:

You’ll drive leasing traffic and conversion by implementing outreach efforts, supporting marketing initiatives, and actively engaging with prospective residents.

Operational Oversight:

You’ll manage vendor relationships, process purchase orders, and ensure preventive maintenance and service standards are met across the community.

Resident Experience:

A strong presence in the office and the community is expected — you’ll resolve resident concerns professionally and work to maintain a welcoming and well-kept environment.

Reporting & Communication:

You’ll complete daily and weekly operational reports, review financials, and communicate performance updates to regional or ownership contacts.

Budget & Financial Management:

You will create and manage the community’s operating budget, monitor expenses, and work closely with leadership to meet financial targets.

On-Call & Weekend Rotation:

You must be comfortable participating in an on-call and weekend rotation, sharing responsibility for emergency situations and Saturday office coverage.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience:

A minimum of 2 years in property management is required, preferably in multifamily or build-to-rent communities. Experience managing lease-ups or new construction is highly desirable.

Leadership:

You’ve directly supervised leasing and/or maintenance teams and know how to hold your team accountable while fostering growth and development.

Leasing & Marketing:

You bring hands-on leasing experience and understand how to build prospect pipelines through community outreach, digital strategies, and resident events.

Technology:

Proficiency in property management software is a must — Entrata experience is a plus, along with Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Word.

Financial Acumen:

You have experience preparing and managing budgets, tracking variances, reviewing financials, and reporting on performance metrics.

Communication Skills:

You can interact professionally with residents, staff, and ownership alike. You’re confident, clear, and solution-oriented in your approach.

Work Ethic:

We’re looking for someone dependable, organized, and capable of working independently. This community needs a leader who can manage without constant oversight and who follows through without being reminded.
