We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate House Manager to oversee daily operations at our sober living home for individuals recovering from substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have personal life experience in recovery or peer support experience and a strong understanding of the challenges and needs of individuals in early recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide supervision and support to residents, ensuring a safe, structured, and drug-free environment. Enforce house rules and policies while promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere. Conduct resident check-ins and ensure compliance with curfews, chores, and program requirements. Oversee drug and alcohol screenings as needed. Assist residents in accessing resources , such as 12-step meetings, outpatient treatment, and job opportunities. Mediate conflicts between residents and provide guidance on problem-solving and communication. Maintain accurate records of resident progress, incidents, and house activities. Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and well-maintained . Communicate regularly with program directors, case managers, and clinical staff to coordinate resident care.
Qualifications:
Must have personal life experience in recovery (minimum one year of sobriety preferred) or peer support experience . Experience working in a sober living home, addiction treatment facility, or related setting is preferred. Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills. Ability to enforce boundaries while maintaining empathy and understanding. Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently . High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications (e.g., Peer Support Specialist, CPR/First Aid) are a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
