Position Summary:
The Community Relations Advocate (CRA) is a dynamic business development specialist responsible for securing the placement of ATRS Clothing and Shoe Donation Bins within assigned territories and driving increased donations of clothing, shoes, and household textiles. As the face and ambassador of ATRS in the local community, the CRA will build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, property managers, municipal officials, business owners, and business managers. The CRA plays a key role in driving business growth, expanding our footprint, and increasing funds raised monthly for a local Louisiana charity through the development and maintenance of clothing donation bin locations. This role requires strong sales acumen, relationship-building skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset to ensure ATRS Louisiana’s long-term success and profitability.

Vehicle Cell Phone Allowance Laptop Principal Responsibilities Prospecting and Business Development :
Identify and prospect high-quality locations for clothing and shoe donation bins. Conduct engaging sales presentations to property owners, property managers, and business owners to demonstrate the benefits of ATRS’s clothing donation program and build long-term partnerships.
Secure and Maintain Locations :
Secure new, high-performing clothing donation bin locations and manage existing locations to maximize donation volumes. Proactively relocate or remove underperforming bins, ensuring the bins are placed in high-traffic, desirable areas.
Route Management and Goal Achievement :
Meet and exceed route donation collection goals by ensuring all donation bins are serviced promptly and efficiently. Proactively monitor donation levels and collections to maximize revenue and operational success.
Reporting and Documentation :
Complete and submit timely reports documenting the progress of daily operations, including collections, new prospects, and ongoing issues. Maintain an up-to-date database with accurate contact information for all partners, prospects, and sponsors.
Collaboration :
Work closely with the local and corporate teams to streamline processes and align strategies. Provide insights and feedback to help drive efficiency, enhance service offerings, and improve overall community conservation efforts.
Customer Service and Relationship Building :
Cultivate and maintain positive, long-term relationships with property owners, business managers, and local community partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for issues related to the bins and ensure ongoing support for ATRS’s charitable initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse stakeholders. Excellent customer service orientation, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external parties. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and other digital tools for reporting, scheduling, and communication. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions for business growth and operational improvement. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and anticipate business needs with good judgment.
Required Experience and Qualifications :
1 to 3 years of experience in outside sales, business development, or similar roles with proven success in meeting sales goals and securing new business. Valid Driver’s License that meets company standards. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to assess issues, find solutions, and take proactive actions that benefit the business, clients, and the community.
