ASAP We are seeking a Part-Time Property Manager for a temp-to-hire or direct-hire position with our client, a residential property management company with multiple sites. This role requires travel between properties using your own vehicle. The Property Manager will oversee day-to-day operations across several residential buildings, including enforcing community rules, managing tenant relations, coordinating with vendors, and handling administrative duties. This is a hands-on, field-based position. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for: Travel to properties to inspect conditions and enforce lease rules (e.g., trash in hallways)
Interview and approve prospective tenants
Communicate policy updates, inspection notices, rent changes, and repair schedules to tenants
Serve as liaison between tenants, owners, and maintenance personnel
Coordinate and schedule vendors and contractors
Maintain accurate records of leases, complaints, expenses, renewals, and move-outs
Ensure compliance with housing laws and health/safety regulations
Utilize Microsoft Office and property management software to document activities The ideal candidate for this role will have: Previous experience in property management or residential oversight
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Firm but professional presence when addressing tenant issues
Knowledge of landlord/tenant law and housing regulations
Strong administrative and scheduling abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (DMV check required)
Ability to pass a State of Maine background check Willingness to sign policies on
