DESCRIPTION
The Resident Director & Coordinator of Student Life Activities is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and coordination of the total residence life and student activities program for the Midcoast Campus.
This position:
Supervise and manage all students in a designated residential area and corresponding operations, including the development of appropriate social and educational programming.
Serve as a resource person and advisor to students in need. Adjudicate residence hall violations as referred by Director of Residence Life & Student Involvement.
Assist the Director of Residence Life and Student Involvement with the daily operations of the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership.
Co-advise the Student Senate, Phi Theta Kappa or other student organizations.
Manage all aspects of residence hall occupancy including move-in, move-out, room assignments and changes.
Ensure program health, safety and maintenance standards are met with regard to residential facilities
Assist with a range of College-wide student success efforts, including, but not limited to participating in student orientation or advising at risk students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree
Must have a valid driver’s license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master of Science/Arts/ Education Degree
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Residential living experience, preferably as a Resident Assistant or Residence Hall Association student leader.
Some background in student development, working with traditionally aged student population.
Some knowledge of student programming and event planning is also useful.
