Manager Current River Sheltered Workshop Doniphan, MO 63935 Workshop Manager
BASIC FUNCTIONS
: Under the direction of the Board of Directors, provides for the day-to-day administration, direction, and management of the workshop’s operations. The Manager will work cooperatively with the Board of Directors in order to ensure the organization’s staff and employees diligently strive to carry out the CRSW mission.
REQUIREMENTS
: A combination of education and experience usually represented by a Bachelor’s degree in business, human services, or special education with at least three (3) years of management and/or administrative experience, or a high school diploma with five (5) years of management and/or administrative experience in a business, human services, or vocational rehabilitation field. Applicant must be able to work closely with adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities in a community based employment capacity. Strong verbal, organizational, general computer, Quickbooks, grant writing and communication skills are desired. Applicant must be able to conduct themselves daily as a positive example and oversee all levels of staff/employees in their respective job assignments. Knowledge of the Ripley County business community is very helpful.
RESPONSIBILITIES
:
- -Oversee board policies, by-laws, rules and regulations for all staff and employees of the organization are followed/maintained on a daily basis.
- -Maintain open communication with the Board through regular reports of activities, information, and actions which affect the efficient and professional operation of the organization.
- -Operate the organization according to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations and keep abreast of any changes of the same.
- -Recruitment of staff and employees of the organization.
- -Direct staff and employees in following the established and applicable personnel policies, procedures, rules and regulations and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
- -Conduct regular evaluations of staff and employees and delegate authority and responsibility in a manner which is consistent with applicable job descriptions.
- -Maintain a positive professional relationship and use objectivity in treating all staff, employees, and customers with dignity and respect.
- -Prepare the annual budget for review and approval by the Board, and strive to follow the budget in a prudent and professional manner.
- -Supervise and manage purchasing activities for, but not limited to, supplies, insurance, advertising and capital purchases.
- -Manage the capital and financial resources in a prudent, professional, and efficient manner.
- -Maintain a positive public relations program by maintaining a neat and businesslike appearance, speaking at local organizations, accepting donations, and promoting CRSW in a manner which is conducive to business and the community.
- -Participate in professional and/or personal training programs which potentially benefit the organization or improve managerial and operative skills.
- -Attend and participate in all CRSW Board meetings and meetings of professional organizations to keep abreast of legal, regulatory, or program changes which may affect the overall operation and mission of the organization.
- -Accept other responsibilities, duties, and authority as directed by the Board of Directors of CRSW which are consistent with the general description of duties found in this job description.
