We work to eradicate oppression in a divisive world by: Developing leaders and changemakers Connecting youth via immersive educational programming Building cross-cultural understanding through empathy and humility Welcoming diverse allies & partners​ The Manager of School & Community Partnerships is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and ongoing development of LEAD STL’s externally facing youth programs, including school-based initiatives, cross-district partnerships, and community workshops. These programs engage students during the school day through immersive learning experiences that build empathy, challenge bias, and promote social justice education. This role blends program logistics, facilitation support, relationship management, and curriculum development. The Manager works closely with school districts, community partners, and facilitation teams to deliver high-impact programming across a range of settings. As a member of the

programming team, this position also contributes to the strategic growth of external partnerships and supports curriculum development and implementation across all program areas.​

Program Expansion & Management:

Lead the growth of LEAD STL’s school-based partnerships and oversee external programming including immersive experiences, workshops, and Courageous Conversations.

Cross-District Initiative Coordination:

Manage programs that connect students across districts through facilitated dialogue and joint site visits to deepen cultural understanding and reduce bias.

Program Design & Facilitation:

Adapt and deliver culturally responsive curriculum rooted in LEAD STL’s core pillars; facilitate engaging workshops that inspire student voice and action.

Partnership Development & Outreach:

Build strong relationships with schools and community partners; represent

LEAD STL

at events and develop outreach strategies to expand program reach.

Logistics & Administration:

Oversee scheduling, transportation, materials, and communication to ensure smooth program delivery; maintain records and support ongoing evaluation.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

Recruit and support seasonal staff and facilitators; collaborate across teams to ensure alignment and high-quality program implementation.

Operations & Budget Management:

Work with the team to keep things running smoothly, and take the lead on logistics and budgeting for school-based programs and cross-district initiatives.

Alumni & Social Media Support:

Assist with alumni engagement efforts and contribute to mission-aligned content creation and communications.

Facilitation & Youth Engagement:

Skilled in leading interactive lessons and building relationships with youth from diverse backgrounds, particularly in school settings.

Curriculum Design & Instructional Strategy:

Experience designing and adapting developmentally appropriate, equity-centered curriculum across grade levels.

Program & Partnership Management:

Strong organizational and project management skills; able to coordinate multi-site programs and build collaborative relationships with schools and community partners.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

Experience supporting or supervising teams; thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Communication & Outreach:

Excellent communicator with the ability to build trust and represent the organization effectively to external audiences.

Technical & Administrative Proficiency:

Comfortable with data tracking, budgeting, Google Workspace, and creating outreach or promotional materials. Bachelor’s degree required (B.A. or B.S.); degrees in education, social work, public health, or related fields preferred Candidates with or pursuing advanced degrees (e.g., MSW, MPH, M.Ed.) are strongly encouraged to apply Demonstrated experience facilitating programs for middle and high school students, especially around identity, leadership, or social justice Strong, working knowledge of minority identities, systemic inequity, and social justice movements Familiarity with

LEAD STL

programming or similar youth development/leadership models is a plus Commitment to social justice, youth leadership, and equity-centered education Availability for some weekend and evening programs and occasional travel Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Time Commitment:

Full Time Salaried (Exempt) Must be available to work 9 Sunday afternoons, three weekend retreats, and local travel for a St. Louis Journey. Some evening availability will also be needed for student interviews, volunteer opportunities, and other events.

Pay:

$40,000 – $50,000
