Position Summary
The Property Manager oversees the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and operations of the school’s buildings and grounds. This position ensures that our facilities are clean, secure, compliant, and well-maintained to support our high standards of academic excellence and student well-being.
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform daily custodial, maintenance, and repair operations for the school facility and campus grounds.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building, equipment, HVAC systems, and grounds to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure safety, fire, and building code compliance.
  • Coordinate and supervise external vendors and contractors (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, pest control, landscaping).
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency facility situations.
  • Maintain records of inspections, work orders, inventory, and service reports.
  • Ensure safety and security protocols are followed, including alarm systems, key management, and emergency drills.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for school events, including furniture arrangement and equipment setup.
  • Support the administration with facility planning and improvement projects.
    Working Conditions
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday; occasional evening or weekend work required for special events or emergencies.
  • 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM during the school year. Summer hours may vary.
  • On-site position with occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate’s degree or vocational training is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility or property management, preferably in a school or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/safety).
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, perform physical tasks, and work in varied conditions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, maintenance tracking software).
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in HVAC, facilities maintenance, or OSHA safety training.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
