The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining our Tax Credit property, ensuring compliance with all regulations and providing exceptional service to our residents.
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of property management, including leasing, maintenance, and administrative tasks as well as all aspects of Tax Credit compliance, including eligibility verification, file maintenance and annual recertifications.
- Manage the leasing process, including advertising, tenant screening, and lease enforcement ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct property tours for potential tenants and provide information on available units.
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner while fostering positive tenant relations, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and within budget. Ensuring the property is well-maintained, safe and attractive to residents and prospects.
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and maintenance requests.
- Monitor property budgets, rent collection, and expenses. Prepare and submit accurate reports to senior management.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for facility services.
- Utilize property management software (such as Yardi) to track leasing activity, maintenance requests, and financial transactions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management, with a focus on Tax Credit housing.
- Strong knowledge of leasing procedures and landlord/tenant laws.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in data entry and administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with facilities management principles.
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
