Job :
Assist and support in the day-to-day operations of the Residential Program. Responsibilities include client care and assistance, helping ensure staff members are providing quality care to consumers, provide direct supervision to staff, assist with staff training and development., assuring staff coverage (Scheduling) and covering when there’s a shortage in staffing. Managers must complete and compile accurate, detailed daily documentation, actively participate in various decision making processes including staff hiring, budget development, fiscal management, and facility maintenance. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented, focused, dependable and a strong commitment to teamwork. Education and/or experience : High School Diploma (or equivalent), plus 2 years experience with developmentally disabled persons and 1 year supervisory experience in the field of human services.
Language Skills :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, DDD Circulars and procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to speak effectively when conducting meetings.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
Reasoning Abilities :
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in situations where only limited standardization exists. Submit all data, notes, personnel information, timesheets, etc., in a timely matter. Demonstrate the ability to make appropriate professional judgments. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Strong organizational and problem solving skills. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations required for the
Position :
Clear criminal background. Valid driver’s license with 3 years of good driving record Must be certified or certifiable under

44A Standards for Community Residences staff training requirements which include successfully completing
New Jersey Pre-Service Trainings:
Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), American Red Cross Standard First Aid, Shifting Expectations, Medication, Preventing Abuse and Neglect and Life Threatening Emergencies. The employee must submit to a background check The employee must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities Must Have a valid New Jersey Non-Probationary Driver’s License Must Have Auto Insurance with employees name on Auto Policy.
Scheduling:
Sunday
- 7am-3pm Monday
- OFF Tuesday
- OFF Wednesday-7am-3pm Thursday-7am-3pm Friday-7am-3pm Saturday-7am-3pm The employee must have reliable vehicle and be on-call around the clock for assistance at the group home.
Other Skills, Abilities or Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be proficient in the use of modern office equipment including computers and related software. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs-Word, Outlook, Excel and Publisher. ISP Coordinator for assigned Group Home;
- develops and implements ISP Build, implement, maintain, and follow SOP’s.
Must have the ability to effectively and accurately communicate with individuals and their families and be capable of providing any direct assistance required by individuals and their families in a professional and timely manner. Responsible for the Audits and Accuracy of Medication Administration Record Sheets (MARS) and keeping service recipients main file book and inventory up to date. Etc. per the
