Assistant Property Manager Woodland Development Group Mullica Hill, NJ 08062 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the property management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and maintaining a positive living environment for residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent phone etiquette, and a solid understanding of facilities management. This position is essential for fostering effective communication between tenants and management while ensuring the property runs smoothly. Responsibilities Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the property, including tenant relations and maintenance requests. Maintain accurate records through data entry and administrative tasks related to leasing agreements and tenant files. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 requirements. Handle conflict management effectively to resolve tenant issues and concerns. Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality services are delivered at competitive rates. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure adherence to safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service through effective phone etiquette when responding to inquiries from tenants and prospective residents. Collaborate with the property manager on budgeting, reporting, and strategic planning for property improvements. Requirements Proven experience in facilities management or property management is preferred. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally. Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 processes is a plus. Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry. Proficient in contract negotiation and vendor management. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in property management or related field is advantageous.
