Job Description

Residential Leasing Manager Alma Realty Corp Long Island City, NY 11101 Leasing Manager (Residential Department) We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Leasing Manager to lead our residential leasing department. This position is responsible for managing leasing staff, setting departmental goals and benchmarks, overseeing the lease renewal process, and fostering positive tenant relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a relevant experience in property management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lease Management:

Review lease agreements, renewals, and rent increases to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to NYC rent laws.

Staff Supervision:

Supervise and mentor administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high productivity and professional growth.

Lease Tracking:

Track and monitor critical lease dates, including renewals and rent changes, to ensure timely action.

Tenant & Staff Support:

Act as the main point of contact for tenant inquiries and staff questions, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.

Administrative Support:

Provide general administrative assistance across the department as needed, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in leasing, property management, or real estate; supervisory experience is a plus.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with tenants, staff, and management. In-depth knowledge of local housing laws, fair housing regulations, and leasing practices. Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, Skyline). Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk traversing the office as necessary. Must have good vision to read on computer screens and identify details and errors. Must be able to sit at a desk and use a computer, mouse and operate other office equipment. Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

$55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
