Job Overview:

We are seeking committed and inspiring individuals to serve as My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Mentors . MBK Mentors will work directly with students to provide guidance, motivation, and support with the goal of improving academic outcomes, building leadership skills, and strengthening community connections for young men of color. Mentors will serve as role models and positive influences, helping students navigate challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain meaningful, consistent mentoring relationships with assigned students. Support students in goal-setting, academic achievement, leadership development, and personal growth. Facilitate group discussions, workshops, and activities that promote social-emotional learning, cultural pride, and community engagement. Collaborate with school staff, families, and community organizations to support students’ needs. Monitor and track mentee progress, providing feedback and encouragement. Participate in MBK training sessions and planning meetings. Uphold the values and mission of the MBK initiative to promote equity and opportunity.
