Residential Program Supervisor 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Rocky Point, NY 11778 Since 1980, The Way Back, Inc. has provided housing to people with mental illness that consist of bi-polar, schizophrenia, depression, personality disorders. The Agency’s mission is to provide the resources to help people with psychiatric disabilities reintegrate into the community and to assist them with their recovery. The Program Supervisor is responsible for being available by cell 24/7 for their designated site. This job is performed at the Community Residence site and at the main office working closely with the Program Director and the other Program Supervisors. Approximately 90% of this job is performed at the Community Residence site and the main office, the remainder is performed in the field at off site meetings.

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields with 1-3 years of relevant experience

Required:

At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory position At least 1 year of experience in a mental health setting Strong understanding of mental health services and supports

Essential Position Functions:

Supervise assigned program cluster clients. Meet daily with Community Residence staff: morning report and afternoon report. Meet two times per week with Community Residence staff with minutes recorded of meeting. The supervisor will train new staff and provide ongoing training to all staff. Facilitate introduction and all aspects of admission of new client into the Community Residence. Review paperwork documenting that four services were delivered to each client each month. Draft memos and contracts with clients as needed (usually regarding a problem or for extreme effort demonstrated), meeting with client as needed to review and implement. Meet weekly with Program Director for supervision. Obtain services from outside contractors as needed, i.e. van maintenance. Submit repair memos and enter information into the computer. Review, verify, and submit employee e-timesheets for processing. Coordinate relief staff schedule. Visit clients in apartment program at least once per week. Provide weekly supervision to apartment program staff. Be available to cover position when vacant. Ensure that the chores are completed by staff and clients. Ensure that all contacts and conversations with clients are documented. Supervise staff to ensure that staff completes all aspects of paperwork, following up. Receive, cash, and distribute petty cash and food account checks. Ensure that apartment program services are provided. Ensure that the chores are completed by staff and clients. Ensure that all contacts and conversations with clients are documented. Ensure that Utilization Review paperwork is complete and that the Utilization Review process is utilized accordingly. Other duties assigned.

Skills Required:

Ability to complete work accurately and efficiently, carrying out responsibilities independently. Strong time management skills with the ability to organize one’s weekly and/or monthly tasks. Ability to work on diversified duties.

Additional Job Requirements:
