Summary:
The Residential Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of a community or long term structured residential program for individuals with mental illness. The Residential Supervisor is responsible for the delegation of work, assignment of duties, and completion of tasks of direct support staff and for supporting the values/principles of recovery/resiliency. The Residential Supervisor reports directly to the Assistant Program Director. This position will typically work 3:00am – 11:00am
Wage Information:
Base rate $22.00/hr. Education and experience is taken into account for potential higher starting rates. Plus an awake overnight $1.00/hr. shift differential for hours worked between 10 PM to 6 AM.
Job Description:
Supervises direct support staff, monitors and evaluates employee performance according to company performance management policies and procedures. Ensures individuals’ health, safety, and welfare and enhances the quality of individuals’ lives, and integrates individuals into the community. Participates in and supervises the program staff in the implementation of behavioral management and skill training program. Provides overall on-site supervision and implementation of the daily operations of the program including on-call responsibilities. Accounts for all individuals and program budgets; maintaining an adequate supply of funds for the individuals and program. Submits financial and program documentation to supervisor for review. Communicates relevant information to families, outside agencies, and other professionals as necessary. Transports or assists with transportation coordination as needed for individuals to appointments in the community. Performs job responsibilities of direct care staff on an as needed basis. Willing to learn and model the five principles of trauma informed care; safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment. Commitment to promote cultural, racial, language and gender access, diversity, equity and inclusion. Knowledge of and ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent, and one year working experience in programs for individuals with mental illness.
Additional requirements include:
A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals to appointments. Able to work flexible hours.
