Assistant Residential Supervisor

Village Lane, Macungie, PA 18062 Assistant Residential Supervisor The Assistant Residential Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of at least two residential group homes. This individual works closely with the Residential Supervisor to ensure that individuals receive high-quality care and services, and that the direct support staff are well-coordinated, trained, and supported in their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists with creating and maintaining staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and consistent delivery of authorized services. Helps monitor care and service delivery to ensure all individuals receive supports in line with their service plans. Schedules medical appointments and follow-ups, coordinates transportation as needed, and ensures all visits are properly documented. Attends meetings, trainings, and monitoring visits, and helps coordinate logistics and documentation for each. Participates in the on-call rotation, including assigned weekends. Supports the accurate and timely completion of documentation such as Medication Administration Records (MARs), service notes, and Electronic Health Record entries. Provides encouragement and direction to staff, helping ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with policies. Monitors household supplies and communicates any needs to the Residential Supervisor or leadership. Works with staff to maintain clean and organized home environments, implementing systems and task delegation for housekeeping responsibilities. Conducts weekly medication checks, verifies refill needs, reviews blister packs, and confirms that medications are properly documented and available. Assists in leading monthly team meetings, provides individual-specific training, and helps ensure staff meet all required training standards. Helps maintain staff accountability by modeling professionalism, assisting with coaching and counseling, and documenting concerns as needed. Maintains respectful and professional communication with team members, leadership, ancillary departments, and the individuals served. Prioritizes professional development by seeking opportunities for growth and ensuring personal compliance with all required documentation and certifications. Performs additional duties as assigned to support the overall success and quality of services within the homes.
Qualifications Required:
At least 1 year with outstanding service as a DSP. Organization and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Standard understanding of systems within ODP, Basic understanding of spreadsheets, emails, and technology. Understanding the regulations of ODP Have and maintain consistent work performance, attendance, and flexibility. Completion and maintaining all required training Completion of NADD within 6 months of position acceptance. GED, High School Diploma ( required) 2yrs or more in a degree related to this filed preferred.
