Atomic Workers Alliance, LLC is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Outreach Manager to support former and current nuclear weapons workers through the EEOICPA (Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act) program. This role will assist claimants in navigating the benefits process, provide information on home care services, and foster relationships with referral sources to generate leads. The position will be based in Aiken, SC, offering a flexible schedule and opportunities for community engagement.

Key Responsibilities :
EEOICPA Benefit Assistance :

Guide patients or claimants through the filing process for the EEOICPA program, ensuring they understand their rights and the benefits available to them. Assist with gathering required documentation, completing paperwork, and addressing any questions or concerns related to the claims process. Provide continuous support to claimants throughout the claims process, ensuring their applications are submitted and processed in a timely manner.

Home Care Services :

Educate claimants and their families about available home care services, answering questions regarding eligibility and the process of receiving care. Assist in the referral process for home care services and coordinate with caregivers to ensure services are delivered effectively. Serve as a liaison between claimants and home care providers to facilitate seamless care delivery.

Marketing and Event Coordination :

Plan and coordinate marketing events to raise awareness of the EEOICPA program and home care services available to former nuclear weapons workers. Organize community outreach activities such as informational seminars, workshops, and local events to educate workers and families on available benefits and services. Ensure events are effectively advertised and well-attended by target audiences, including community members, workers, and referral sources.

Relationship Building and Lead Generation :

Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, such as healthcare providers, social workers, local agencies, and community organizations. Actively seek new referral opportunities to generate leads and expand outreach efforts, ensuring a continuous flow of clients for the program. Regularly meet with potential partners and stakeholders to discuss services, build trust, and create mutually beneficial relationships for referral growth.

Community Outreach and Education :

Establish a presence in the local Aiken, SC area and surrounding regions by engaging with key community leaders, organizations, and advocacy groups. Conduct outreach in-person, by phone, and virtually, to educate claimants and their families on the EEOICPA program and available benefits. Provide guidance and assistance to those in need of home care services, ensuring they fully understand the options available to them.

Reporting and Documentation :

Track and document outreach activities, leads generated, and the status of claims to ensure proper follow-up and service delivery. Report regularly on outreach efforts, providing insights into trends, challenges, and successes related to community engagement. Maintain accurate records of interactions with claimants, referral sources, and home care providers for program monitoring.

Qualifications :
Education and Experience :

Associates degree in Marketing or a related field, or 2+ years of experience in marketing, healthcare sales , or a similar role. Prior experience in community outreach, healthcare services, or benefits-related fields is highly preferred. Familiarity with the EEOICPA program and nuclear worker compensation programs is desirable but not required.

Skills and Abilities :

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, referral sources, and community partners. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. A proactive, self-starter attitude, with the ability to identify opportunities for outreach and relationship building. Familiarity with CRM software or case management systems is a plus.

Other Requirements :

Ability to travel within the Aiken, SC area and surrounding regions to attend meetings, events, and home visits. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events and outreach activities. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
