Job Responsibilities
We are seeking to fill six (6) vacancies for a Residential Counselors (RC) that have great customer service skills, energetic and enthusiastic about working with students with a positive attitude and time management skills. The Residential Counselor (RC) will work from June 2•27, 2025.
The Student Residential Camp Counselor is responsible for providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for participants. Counselors will lead activities, ensure camper safety, and promote positive social interactions. This role involves living on-site for the duration of the camp session and requires dedication, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with young people.

Supervision:

Provides constant supervision to participants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Activities:

Plans, leads, and participates in camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and educational workshops.

Behavior Management:

Implements camp rules and policies, manages camper behavior, and resolves conflicts effectively.

Mentorship:

Serves as a positive role model, mentor, and support system for participants. Assists the camp director and instructors.

Health and Safety:

Handles emergencies according to camp procedures and ensures compliance with health and safety guidelines.

Communication:

Maintains open and effective communication with participants, parents, and camp staff.

Camp Spirit:

Fosters a fun, inclusive, and positive camp atmosphere through enthusiasm, creativity, and team spirit.

Documentation:

Keeps accurate records of camper activities, incidents, and progress as required
Minimum and Additional Requirements

Education:

Current college student or recent graduate from a college or university.

Experience:

Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred.

Certifications:

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain during the camp).
Additional Comments
Ability to participate in physical activities, including sports.
Ability to move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to live in a residential hall and work irregular hours.
Room and board provided for the duration of the camp.
