GENERAL FUNCTION
Performs a wide range ofduties relating to the origination of residential 1st mortgageloans for outside referrals. Meets standards and objectives definedby management for mortgage loan sales and cross-selling objectives.
Assumes overall responsibility for the residential mortgage loanfrom application to closing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, professional andpersonal contacts).
- Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third MortgageCompanyÆs policies and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge ofavailable loan products, processing procedures, and underwritingand general departmental guidelines.
- Follow defined protocol forescalation exceptions.
- Take applicant applications by completingFannie Mae form 1003 on the laptop.
- Utilize the laptop forcommunication and access of daily rates, applicant credit reports,Loan Prospector responses and transmitting the loan to LOMAS.
- Collect appropriate documentation from each applicant and deliverloan package in the time frames set by management.
- Managepipeline for all originated loans through closing and completerequired management reports.
- Communicate with branches and/orapplicants of providing timely updates and progress reports.
- Maintain high levels of customer service while managing eachapplicantÆs and support staffÆs expectations.
- Attend andparticipate in all Consumer Lending meetings as required bymanagement.
