Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Management Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations in the property management industry. Pay is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial records
- New vendor set up
- Prepare financial statements and reports for property management clients
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes for property operations
- Assist in annual common area expense reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Collaborate with property managers to address financial inquiries and discrepancies
- Process monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting functions as required.
Additional Responsibilities Additional property management duties as needed, such as tenant maintenance requests and vendor coordination Records management Special projects and other duties as required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or four or more years of applicable accounting experience within a property management accounting environment in place of a degree. Strong computer skills, specifically the Microsoft Office suite, Project accounting, Skills in Yardi Breeze Premier are preferred. Must possess the integrity to handle confidential information. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Motivated to work independently and on a team to accomplish goals. Attention to detail and accuracy within context of company policy and contractual obligations. Problem resolution.
