Residential SUD Program Supervisor Charleston County – Dept. of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services 3685 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29405 Description Seeking a dynamic candidate to lead Charleston Center’s two residential programs and withdrawal management program. The units consist of a 16-bed co-ed unit, a 16-bed unit for women and their children, and a 16-bed withdrawal management unit.
HIRING HOURLY RATE
$29.25 – $31.04 Duties include but are not limited to: Supervising a staff of at least 8 Clinical Counselors and a Case Manager; Providing clinical direction for all residential and withdrawal management evidence-based treatment programming; Documentation for human resources purposes – hiring , terminating, performance coaching, annual appraisals, etc.; CQI and program development; Data collection and reporting for various grant requirements; Facilitating clinical services as necessary; Any tasks relating to supporting program operations; Speaking engagements for community prevention and marketing purposes; Community engagement and the development and maintenance of relationships with community stakeholders and referral sources (DSS, mental health agencies, hospitals, law enforcement, etc); On-call rotation; Utilizing an electronic health record; Maintaining clinical records within applicable regulations; All duties associated with being an Essential County Employee during periods of emergency (assisting with evacuations, assisting at community shelters, etc.)
Minimum Education/Qualifications:
Position requires a Master’s Degree in a human services field, supplemented by at least 5 years or more of experience in counseling/case management or as a Program Supervisor; Must obtain a APSC Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) credential within 3 years of hire; South Carolina licensure in professional counseling, addiction counseling, or social work highly preferred; Knowledge of MAT and several practiced therapies and counseling techniques, particularly those that are evidenced based, is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and computer skills are essential; Must possess a valid SC driver’s license. Spanish Speaking candidates highly desired. Continuation of employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding from service, program and agency earnings.
