Job Description

Housing Specialist Located:

Greenville, SC (29607 area) 100% on site

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Fridays OFF!!!

Few months-could go perm The ideal candidate has extensive experience in administrative and supervisory roles within public housing management. Adept at overseeing day-to-day operations, including intake, screening, housing, and eviction processes, unit inspections, and maintenance coordination.

Main responsibilities:

encompass resident counseling, rent calculation and collection, conducting orientations and certifications, enforcing lease provisions, and preparing necessary reports in compliance with federal regulations. Candidate also assists with central office operations, such as processing payrolls, accounts payable functions, and monitoring HUD websites. The role requires strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills, as well as experience in property management, accounting, and working under various weather conditions.

Requirements:

proven track record of maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with HUD and Housing Authority regulations, and fostering positive resident and management relations. Minimum of 3 years of experience with LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) and currently working under a public housing program, with plans to transition to Section 8 (RAD). This position requires public housing or tax credit experience. The ideal candidate will work on-site at the head office, overseeing 186 units across four properties within a 5-mile radius, and travel to these sites as needed. EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled.
