Ability Beyond Barriers is a compassionate and mission-driven organization dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment for individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced House Manager to oversee daily operations of two of our group homes.
Position Summary:
The House Manager is responsible for the overall management of the group homes, ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for residents. This includes supervising staff, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support direct care staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure residents’ needs are met, including medical and daily living support. Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with state and company policy and regulations. Coordinate with healthcare providers, case managers, and families. Oversee household operations including meal planning, medication administration, and transportation. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the home. Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in a residential or group home setting. Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
