Reporting to the Social Services Director, this role is responsible for managing facility maintenance, budgeting, program development, staffing and training, and compiling program metrics for reports related to the Center’s activities. The Manager will also facilitate Knoxville Resident Advisory Board meetings, represent the center within the community and address local issues by building positive relationships with residents, community organizations, and stakeholders. This role plays a key role in ensuring residents have access to essential services by determining eligibility and making referrals to various programs and resources with a commitment to serving East Knoxville residents.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A combination of successful work experience and education may be substituted for the education requirement.
Salary :

Job Title:
East Neighborhood Center Manager Summary :
An employee of this classification receives supervision from the Social Services Director. Work performed includes overseeing the daily operations of the center, including facility maintenance, programming, budget, staffing, and scheduling. Responsible for linkage of neighboring community organizations to CAC and East Neighborhood Center programs and opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the center, including facility maintenance, budget, staffing, and scheduling. Develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of programs and center activities to meet the needs of the community as funding permits. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, other community organizations, and stakeholders. Responsible for intake and coordination of resources for South Knoxville Residents, as needed. Plan, recruit and conduct monthly East Knoxville Resident Advisory Board Meetings. Collect and maintain all East Knoxville Resident Advisory Board minutes. Hire, train, supervise Neighborhood Center program staff and volunteers. Track program participation, collect data, and prepare reports on center activities. Effectively communicate and provide information about CAC programs to community organizations, civic groups, churches, and individuals. Assists in coordinating CAC programs and services with those of other community organizations to ensure efficient use of funds and effective service delivery to low income individuals and families. Serves as a neighborhood advocate on boards, councils, and advisory committees. Identify and address issues that arise in the center and within the community. Maintains up to date information about available internal and external resources. Interview clients as needed directly and by telephone, identifying problems and assessing needs. Determines eligibility for various programs and services according to prescribed guidelines. Refers clients to appropriate CAC or other community agencies for training and support services and coordinates such services as necessary. Keeps records and makes reports. Performs related work as required

Base Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related work experience. A combination of successful work experience and education may be substituted for the education requirement. Possession of valid Tennessee Driver’s License and use of private automobile for work related travel (mileage reimbursed).
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with low-income groups. Supervisory and administrative experience.
