Companion House Manager 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Murfreesboro, TN 37129 About the position The Companion-House Manager (CHM) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and promoting a person-centered approach. The CHM will reside in the home for at least five days a week, providing direct support and training to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) while managing staff schedules and maintaining quality of life for the individuals supported. Responsibilities Ensure the home operates within all regulatory guidelines. Promote and support the goals of individuals, ensuring dignity, respect, and quality of life. Manage, train, and support assigned staff to maintain or improve quality of life for persons supported. Schedule staff effectively to ensure coverage for assigned homes. Report all relevant events before the end of shift. Oversee medication management and compliance with guidelines. Implement and monitor various plans and programs for individuals supported. Ensure accurate documentation by DSPs in data systems. Monitor and support individuals in managing their funds and budgeting. Assist in purchasing groceries and ensuring balanced meals. Lead team meetings for individuals supported. Provide direct support for daily living activities and skill development. Complete maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution. Promote community participation and opportunities for social engagement. Advocate for individuals supported and model independence in task performance. Follow agency policies and maintain confidentiality. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ year experience in supporting persons with Intellectual Disabilities as a DSP. Class D Driver license for State of Tennessee. Maintain CPR and First Aid Certification, Medication Administration training, and other required trainings. Nice-to-haves Proficient in Microsoft products and technical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm and objective at all times. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and planning skills.
