The BWW Board of Directors isseeking a General Manager to provide strategic direction,operational excellence, financial oversight, and communityengagement all aimed at delivering exceptional, sustainable waterservices. The General Manager collaborates closely with the Boardof Directors, and also actively engages with government entities,local businesses, and community leaders to champion BWW’sinitiatives and contribute to regional development andsustainability efforts.
A bachelor’s degree in businessadministration, Engineering, Public Administration, or a closelyrelated field from an accredited institution is required.
Candidates with a master’s degree or a Professional Engineer (PE)certification preferred. Applicants should possess a minimum of 15years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a seniorleadership role within a water utility or a similarly regulatedorganization. Experience in strategic decision-making, operationalmanagement, and regulatory compliance within the utility sector ishighly desirable.
Birmingham Water Works offers a competitive totalcompensation package for this exceptional opportunity, including astarting salary range of $325,000 to $375,000, commensurate withthe qualifications of the selected candidate.
