Regional Affordable Housing Manager 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Birmingham, AL Methodist Homes Corporation is seeking a Regional Affordable Housing Coordinator to work in the corporate office located in Birmingham, Alabama. This position serves as an Affordable Housing credit specialist and an operational and compliance resource. This person must be experienced and knowledgeable regarding eligibility requirements, processing certifications and following the EIV and HOTMA requirements according to the HUD regulations.
Key Contributions:
This position’s primary responsibility is to support the company’s HUD facilities by working with the manager to determine eligibility and assist with related tasks to ensure compliance with affordable housing policies and procedures. Perform annual audits to ensure Resident files are in proper order and that affordable compliance requirements are being met. Responsibilities include working closely with the facility manager to prepare for the property’s REAC/INSPIRE and Management inspections. Represents the company during
REAC/INSPIRE
inspections. Monitoring of HUD updates and facilitate implementation when needed. Manage billing process for residents.
Position Requirements:
Travel:
Willingness to travel 1-2 days per month.
Experience:
Minimum two years in a management level position. Demonstrated knowledge of associated regulatory and legal requirements related to Affordable Housing including, HUD’s Section 202 and the Fair Housing Act. Demonstrated ability to deal directly with Senior Management and all other personnel to build consensus, establish confidence, communicate effectively and contribute to a positive work culture. Knowledge of HOTMA (Housing Opportunity through Modernization Act) Be detailed oriented and must have good analytical and problem solving skills. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office required; knowledge and experience in Cornerstone and PointClick Care (PCC) software, a plus
