Director of Assessment and Accreditation 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Montevallo, AL 35115 Position Number TBD Division Academic Affairs/Provost – ACA Department College Education Dean’s Office FLSA Exempt Salary Grade 211 Salary Classification Admin/Professional Annual Salary Range $48,481 – $66,412 Hourly Salary Range Employment Status Full Time 12 Mos Regular General Description The Director of Assessment and Accreditation will lead the College of Education & Human Development in maintaining accreditation and implementing a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process. This position ensures compliance with accreditation standards and facilitates the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to advance educational excellence. Reporting to the Dean, the Director collaborates with faculty, staff, and external agencies to uphold the College’s mission and align with accrediting body requirements. Essential Job Duties Accreditation Management Lead and coordinate accreditation efforts for the College of Education with accrediting agencies including CAEP, CACREP, NAEYC, and AAFCS. Ensure programs meet state and national standards for educator preparation and counseling programs. Serve as the primary liaison for accreditation site visits and compliance audits. Assessment Oversight Develop, implement, and refine assessment tools to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness. Analyze assessment data to inform continuous program improvement. Provide training and support to faculty on assessment practices and data interpretation. Academic Program Review Manage the review of academic programs to ensure alignment with accreditation and state standards. Identify areas for improvement and guide the implementation of recommendations for program enhancements. Compliance and Reporting Oversee compliance with state, regional, and federal academic regulations. Prepare and submit required reports, including Title II submissions and data for accreditation agencies. Maintain accurate records related to Alabama State Department of Education program approvals. Data-Informed Decision Making Use data to drive improvements in student outcomes and program quality. Collaborate with faculty to integrate data into strategic decision-making processes. Collaborative Leadership Partner with College leadership and faculty to support a culture of continuous improvement. Facilitate communication among internal and external stakeholders regarding accreditation and assessment initiatives Additional Duties Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and foster a culture of excellence. Education and Experience The educational requirement for this position is: Master’s degree in education, assessment, or a related field. Education substituted for experience?
