Growing Together! The Learning Tree is a nonprofit organization that has been providing Behavior Analytic services for almost 40 years . The Learning Tree serves children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout the state of Alabama with four regional campuses. Services within these programs include residential and educational services, outpatient clinics, and public-school consultation services. Children and adolescents in our educational and residential programs receive 24-hour, around the clock care. The disabilities of the children we serve range from nonverbal, lack of behavioral and emotional control, to those on the Autism spectrum. Regional Directors for our campuses oversee and manage the programs that we operate so that our residents receive individualized education and care suited to their unique and specific needs in a nurturing, supportive environment using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This position oversees both our Regional Residential and Educational programs .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Excellence
- Maintain and uphold all programming to high standards Oversight and implementation of campus procedures Oversight of all documentation procedures Oversight of regional finances Reporting to the Executive Director relevant operational, strategic, emergency, and personnel matters Team Goodwill
- Promotes a culture that embraces growth and development to meet the needs of our team Maintain staff rapport and enhancing workplace satisfaction Navigation of personnel-related issues Oversight of regional talent acquisition Oversight of employee development Program/Child Development and Education
- Ensure staff are creating the best environment possible for the children and adolescents we provide care for to learn and grow Development of Individualized Service Plans for students (IEP / ISP) Oversight and initiation of all program planning meetings (IEP / ISP) Oversight of all service plan implementation (IEP, ISP, and behavior programs) Participation in & oversight of program & service quality development committees Oversight of student medical issues and treatment, and communication regarding such with medical professionals Stakeholder Engagement•Promotes a well-informed, highly engaged experience for all stakeholders Communication with parents and agency representatives Oversight of Service Recipients’ service coordination, quality enhancement initiatives, service delivery investigations Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum of Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or closely-related field 3 years’ experience with individuals as served by The Learning Tree, Inc. and/or individuals displaying behavioral, emotional, or cognitive challenges, and/or as a certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) (or closely related field) or combination of above 2 years supervisory experience Good driving record preferred.
