Shape the Future. Are you a strategic leader and relationship-builder passionate about community impact? Main Street Community Foundation (MSCF) is seeking a Director of Grants & Programs to lead and evolve our grantmaking and scholarship initiatives across Central Connecticut. As a key member of our team, you’ll champion philanthropic collaboration, guide nonprofit capacity-building, and shape the allocation of over $2.5 million in annual grants. This high-impact role serves as a catalyst for real change—linking visionary donors with evolving community needs in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington, and Wolcott . What You’ll Do Lead all aspects of grantmaking, scholarships, and donor-advised giving with innovation and integrity Build strong relationships with nonprofits, donors, and community leaders Collaborate on program design and impact evaluation Provide strategic guidance to key Foundation Committees Manage and mentor a dedicated grants team Represent MSCF at regional events, site visits, and thought leadership forums What You Bring 7+ years of progressive experience in grantmaking, preferably with a community foundation Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s or advanced nonprofit certification preferred) Proven leadership in managing philanthropic programs and teams Excellent project management, strategic thinking, and public speaking skills Familiarity with Foundant or similar grants management systems a plus Knowledge of the Central Connecticut nonprofit landscape strongly preferred Why Join Us?
