Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Oversight Provide visionary leadership and guidance to FCI-MDC charter schools in the development and implementation of ESE policies, procedures, and programs. Oversee the planning and compliance of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans in accordance with state and federal regulations. Program Design & Implementation Design and lead a state

  • and nationally recognized ESE division rooted in best practices and effective staffing models.

Ensure delivery of administrative and educational services related to ESE, including evaluations, IEP systems, and staff training. Collaboration & Capacity Building Collaborate with school administrators and external agencies to build professional development programs that enhance educator capacity to serve exceptional learners. Provide strategic support in budget development and resource allocation aligned with program goals. Monitoring & Compliance Monitor and evaluate ESE programs and services to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards. Oversee ESE Policies and Procedures (ESE P&P) to guarantee comprehensive, compliant, and effective service delivery. Minimum Requirements Education & Experience Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Supervision, or related field from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years of professional experience in Exceptional Student Education with supervisory experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Policy, or related field from a regionally accredited institution and nine (9) years of related experience. All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution to ensure educational excellence and compliance. Expertise In-depth knowledge of federal and state laws governing special education and gifted education Familiarity with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Understanding of program budgeting, evaluation, and compliance monitoring Technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant education management software Skills Exceptional leadership, analytical, and decision-making abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including charter school teams, community members, and regulatory agencies Diversity & Inclusion Demonstrated ability to lead in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment, promoting equity and inclusion for all students If you’re ready to lead innovation in inclusive education and impact student success at scale, we invite you to apply!
