Executive Director – North Fulton Economic AlliancePositionSummaryThe Executive Director will be focused on three key areas:branding and marketing the region; expanding the area’s talentpipeline; and elevating regional economic development in NorthFulton. The goal for the professional is to create an organizationthat maximizes region-wide performance.
Reporting StructureThe NorthFulton Economic Alliance will operate under the Greater NorthFulton Chamber’s umbrella. The Executive Director will reportdirectly to the Chamber’s President and CEO and be accountable to aNFEA Board of Investors. Other NFEA team members will report to theExecutive Director.
Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in the area(s) of economic development,community development, real estate, public relations, publicadministration, business, economics, and/or marketing from anaccredited college or university, or equivalent experience. At least five years of executive management and leadershipexperience in the business, economic development and/or communitydevelopment field, government, chamber of commerce, association, ora combination of these. A proven tenure of creating and/or leading an organizationthrough visionary growth and meaningful change to improve thebusiness environment of a region or specific area. An innovative, creative, and strategic thinker who hasexperience in developing relevant initiatives and goals to enhancethe Greater North Fulton tax base. Experienced team builder and leader who will effectivelyrepresent the Greater North Fulton region in manyenvironments. A proven track record of successfully working with economicdevelopment organizations, governments, and communitystakeholders.
Specific Duties & Functions Brand the
Region:
Facilitate the development of a brand andplan with a destination marketing agency (to be named) todistinctively identify the Greater North Fulton region as thepremier business location in the southeast.
Market Greater North Fulton:
Deploy new brand and marketingcollateral through a regional and national marketing campaign tosupport the generation of more business location “leads.”
Expand Greater North Fulton’s Talent Pipeline:
Develop andretain local talent through collaborating with area educationinstitutions and local businesses; and recruit and educateemployers to offer internships and apprenticeships in high-demandcareers.
Attract New Talent:
Develop and implement a national talentattraction campaign.
Connect Employers and Talent:
Become an extension of employers’HR Department by providing policy, programmatic, and partnershipstrategies.
Elevate Regional Economic Development:
Strengthen municipaleconomic development teams by convening and taking action oninitiatives that will enhance the region’s economic vitality. Buildand implement, with economic development partners in the region, aBusiness Retention and Expansion program.
Advocacy:
Identify and address policy issues that impactbusinesses and the region.
