Community Engagement & Collaboration:

Serve as the primary liaison with local school districts (KCPS, KCKPS, charter schools) and community organizations to increase outreach and support services. Represent HALO in the community through events, outreach, and strategic collaborations to expand our impact.

Team & Volunteer Management:

Supervise and mentor HALO Center Facilitator, Assistant, and interns. Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to support programming and youth engagement. Encourage a culture of excellence, empathy, and service among all team members and volunteers.

Strategic & Administrative Leadership:

Oversee Center operations including program scheduling, budgeting, and data reporting via Apricot. Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer to develop and execute an annual strategic plan, including the vision for an open-model Center offering extended support hours. Manage donor engagement and center tours to build lasting relationships and funding opportunities. Assist with building needs including communicating maintenance, security, or other issues regarding the Learning Center. Lead regular internal updates, monthly reporting, and contribute to organization-wide learning and development. We’re looking for a purpose-driven leader who embodies HALO’s values and demonstrates: Proven experience in youth-focused program management, ideally within a trauma-informed or nonprofit setting. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing teams, volunteers, or interns effectively. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across diverse populations and stakeholders. Strategic thinker with the ability to plan, execute, and assess impactful programs. Adaptability, resilience, and a passion for helping young people overcome adversity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Apricot or other case management systems a plus. Must be 21 or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record; background check required.
