About the Agency
The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration is the primary agency responsible for State government financial and administrative operations including employee payroll, vendor payments, employee insurance, construction, maintenance, and protection of State buildings in the Capitol Complex, financial information management systems, management of the State’s vehicle fleet, and numerous other related activities.
About the Position
This position is a Non-State Service x-16 position as the Director of the Bond Advisory Division. This position is responsible for managing the issuance of public debt in the municipal marketplace to fund capital and economic development projects. The division also maintains complete, accurate and timely records pertaining to the State of Mississippi’s debt obligations.
What you’ll need to be Successful
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Share Point. Must be able to solve complex issues through excellent problem-solving skills, be able to interpret language from legislation and have excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 10 years of accounting or related experience.
