Finance The Director of FP&A reports to the Chief Financial Officer and has high visibility to the CEO and executive leadership team. In this position, you will be leading FP&A function; decision-making support, financial and operational reporting, driver-based planning, forecasting, and financial analysis for the organization; and will play a key part in supporting the CFO in creating a consistent, standardized planning and forecasting environment to optimize business decision making.

Responsibilities:

Support the CFO in leading efforts to build and standardize financial reporting packages, data analytics, and KPI’s, to drive accountability relative to performance targets and collaborate with operational leaders on mitigation strategies when shortfalls occur. Lead the development and building of pro-forma financial models, dashboards, and KPI’s. Lead the development of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and other corporate updates, working closely with executive team and functional managers to ensure plans and forecasts are reflective of ‘best thinking’ evaluation and assessment. Prepare monthly Board of Directors reporting package for PE investors. Improve operating performance by analyzing results; interpreting data; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and recommending actions to management. Collaborate with key stakeholders across functions to support commercial and operational decision making. Assist the CFO in special projects on an as needed basis. Examples could include coordinating the integration of acquired businesses into the Company’s financial reporting processes or implementing new software solutions for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another business-related field. CPA or MBA strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive relevant finance or accounting experience, including key financial leadership positions, within large public or private equity owned organizations, ideally in manufacturing. Proven planning, forecasting, and financial analysis experience required. Proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and influence decisions without formal authority. Strong quantitative skills with ability to take complex factors and create concise decision-supporting analysis and action plans. Demonstrated ability to lead both initiatives and teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong bias towards data-driven decision-making and will be comfortable in a fast paced, deadline-driven and rapidly evolving environment. Experience in establishing structure in an unstructured environment. Power user with typical financial software packages such as Excel, PowerPoint, and standard ERP systems; Experience with Microsoft D365 and/or Workday Adaptive Planning a plus.
