The ideal candidate will have academic and/or professional experience in public administration, public policy, or a related field and demonstrate a commitment to student success, diversity, and instructional excellence. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to undergraduate students, emphasizing practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline, engaging students in discussions, and fostering a supportive learning environment. This role involves teaching, mentoring students, and contributing to the growth of the program through innovative course design and delivery. Duties/Responsibilities Teach undergraduate finance courses, such as Financial Management, Money and Banking, Investment Principles, Financial Modeling and Decision-Making, Investments, etc. based on expertise and department needs. Develop and deliver engaging course content that includes real-world applications in the finance industry, including emerging topics such as FinTech, ESG investing, and cryptocurrency. Design experiential learning opportunities such as case studies, financial simulations, and group projects that mirror real-world financial challenges. Participate in faculty meetings and curriculum planning sessions to contribute to academic initiatives and program development.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree (MPA, MPP or related field) from an accredited institution. Demonstrate online teaching experience at a college or university level OR equivalent professional experience in public service, government, or nonprofit sectors. Commitment to student success, engagement, and real-world application of public administration concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate (PhD, DPA) in Public Administration or related discipline. Professional certifications such as CPM, CGFM, and CGAP. Experience in online public administration education.
