COMMUNITY HOUSING OPIOID ABATEMENT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Regular, full-time position working in the New Hampshire Court System, subject to the sufficient and continued funding of the Judicial Branch by the New Hampshire Legislature.

GENERAL SUMMARY

This is an experienced accounting, data collection, and clerical position. Work involves assessing and comparing contracts with policies, procedures and compliance. This position also provides administrative support, requires considerable attention to detail, and uses logical thinking and reasoning. The individual in this position will be responsible for assisting the Community Housing Program Coordinator with program administration and coordination functions to ensure efficiency in order to grow the program. Employees in this position may be required to travel during the regular course of business and are subject to transfer or reassignment at the discretion of the Chief Justice of the Superior Court.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Employees may be requested to perform tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

  • Ensures compliance of contracts with the Community Housing Program Opioid Abatement guidelines, and State and Judicial Branch policies.
  • Identifies and resolves program issues through collaboration with various stakeholders, including staff of the fiscal, legal and accounting departments within the Administrative Office of the Courts.
  • Designs and manages central repository for data collected on Community Housing Program Opioid Abatement participants, contracts and invoices.
  • Manages contract process to ensure compliance with CHP guidelines; develops system to track contract status and addresses issues as needed to ensure contract finalization.
  • Oversees invoicing process to ensure accuracy of information, compliance with contract terms, and audit requirements for documentation.
  • Performs other related work as required.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Five years of clerical experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Successful completion of a background check, including a criminal records check.
COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF JOB DUTIES
Knowledge of:
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access or comparable systems with transferrable skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with effective priority-setting.
Skill in:
  • Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication, both oral and written.
Ability to:
  • Comprehend program goals to ensure coherent and accurate documentation.
  • Use logical reasoning to question accuracy.
  • Make decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Prioritize and manage time effectively.
