As a Psychiatry Account Manager,you lead the promotion of our psychiatry portfolio, executing salesand marketing strategies with comprehensive clinical knowledge todrive sales performance. Our Account Managers are adept atexecuting against the toughest commercialization challenges intoday’s rapidly changing environment and must demonstrate strongcapability in the following areas:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
BusinessPlanning & Account Leadership
- Ability to use digital tools andapply data-based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy& tactics, allocate resources to enhance sales execution, monitorprogress and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.
Selling
- Deliver messages in a clear and compelling way tocustomers, effectively probe customer needs to handle objections,and close every call with a commitment to action to drive changesin behavior. Customer Development
- Build and maintain productiveinternal and external relationships based on customer needs andorganizational goals, incorporating “total office” accountmanagement. Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise
- Gather andvalidate key trends and dynamics in the market, map accountlinkages, and apply comprehensive therapeutic knowledge to uncoverand prioritize unique opportunities. Reimbursement
- Consistentlydemonstrate the ability to stay informed on reimbursement dynamics,anticipate and effectively address payer access issues (IDNs,Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) using Lundbeck resources.
Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance
- Ability to apply knowledgeof pharmaceutical and regulatory environment, includingaccountability and adherence to Lundbeck policies and proceduresand FDA regulations regarding the promotion of pharmaceutical andmedical products.
REQUIRED
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accreditedcollege or university 2 years pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical,biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare salesexperience Must demonstrate the intellectual capacity to scorehighly on disease and product training exams, including beingcertified on product knowledge annually Self-starter, with a strongwork ethic and outstanding communication skills Must be computerliterate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software Must livewithin 40 miles of territory boundaries Driving is an essentialduty of this job; must have a valid driver’s license with a safedriving record that meets company requirements Meeting andcomplying with reasonable industry-standard credentialingrequirements of healthcare providers / customer facilities isrequired for continued employment with Lundbeck
PREFERREDEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Previous experience within aspecialty product sales force. Prior experience promoting anddetailing products specific to CNS/neuroscience including:depression, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder Documentedsuccessful sales performance Ownership and accountability for thedevelopment and execution of fully integrated account plans Stronganalytical background, and experience using sales data reportingtools to identify trends Experience in product launches Previousexperience working with alliance partners (i.e., co-promotions)Strong leadership through participation in committees, jobrotations, panels and related activities
TRAVEL:
Willingness/Ability to travel up to 30%
- 40% domestically to (a)regularly meet/interact with customer base and internal personnelwithin assigned territory; and (b) typically attend 4-8internal/external conferences and meetings spanning locationswithin the United States.
Travel must be able to be completed in atimely manner. The range displayed is a national range, and ifselected for this role, may vary based on various factors such asthe candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills,competencies, and proficiency for the role.
Salary Pay Range:
$117,000
- $137,000 and eligibility for a sales incentive target of$37,500.
