Job Description
This position, based in the Appellate Division, Third Department, supports the Presiding Justice and her Chief ofStaff in their work advancing a wide range of Access to Justice, Equal Justice, and Civics Education initiatives across the entireregion of the Third Department. The role involves coordinating, tracking, building, and implementing programs in these three policyareas, and involves networking with judges, attorneys, community leaders and the public both in person and by means of writtenand virtual contacts and organizing events and other means of contact to enhance public outreach of the Court. Key to the role isan understanding and appreciation of rural communities and their access to justice needs, a solid grounding in civics andgovernment structure, and commitment to principles of diversity and inclusion in our government.
