JOB SUMMARY
The IFSS Program Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the day-to-day success of the Intensive Family Support Services program. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of program operations, ensuring high-quality services that meet client needs, comply with regulatory standards, and align with organizational values.
The IFSS Program Manager supervises a team of 4-5 case managers and works closely with them to develop family-centered service plans, promote self-sufficiency, and ensure strong documentation and compliance. This role also involves stepping in to provide direct client support as needed—whether through home visits, transportation, or attending family meetings—ensuring clients receive consistent and effective care. The ideal candidate is collaborative, compassionate, and proactive, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Works a Hybrid schedule:
3 days in office and 2 days WFM (schedule can change based on departmental needs). Hours are from 9 am – 5pm Monday through Friday, but may also vary according to departmental needs.
EDUCATION
Master’s degree in Social Work/Human Services or related field required.
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of experience working within child, youth, and family service systems and/or supervisory experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for oversight of documentation of the program and ensures timeliness, accuracy, quality, and compliance. Assists the EVP of Operations in planning policies and procedures for the program. Collaborates with the case workers and other key stakeholders for client transitions between program and/or services when necessary. Develops, submits, and implements corrective action plans as needed. Serves as a coach for staff advocating for clients teaching self-advocacy and self-sufficiency skills. Oversees and supports the program regarding clients face-to-face interactions, crisis, resources, and goals. Provides case management coverage in absence of team member or staff shortages via face to face visits, transportation, appointments, etc. Provides onboarding training for all workers. Participates in supervision as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Gathers, reviews, and submits payroll documentation. Holds no less than monthly meetings with all staff. Provides supervision and staff development according to the policy and funder standards. Interviews, hires, plans, assigns, and directs work; timely completion of performance appraisals; rewards and provides corrective action up to disciplinary actions; addresses complaints and resolves problems. Completes staff trainings and orientations by ensuring staff receive a full scope of knowledge and understanding of program and company-related information to enhance staff skills and overall performance.
