Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Associate Director of Multidisciplinary Response is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and continuous improvement of the organization’s multidisciplinary response initiatives. This role oversees teams comprised of diverse professionals—such as clinicians, case managers, law enforcement liaisons, medical personnel, educators, and social service providers—to ensure collaborative, coordinated, and client-centered responses to complex cases involving behavioral health crises, trauma, abuse, problematic sexual behavior (PSB), child trafficking, or other critical needs. The Associate Director fosters interagency collaboration, develops response protocols, ensures compliance with best practices and legal requirements, and leads efforts to enhance outcomes for individuals and families served.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Strategic & Operational Leadership:

    o Oversee the design, development, and implementation of multidisciplinary response programs and services. o Lead the establishment and refinement of protocols, workflows, and standard operating procedures to ensure effective, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices. o Ensure that multidisciplinary responses are consistent with organizational goals, legal standards, and evidence-based models.

      Team & Staff Management:

      o Supervise multidisciplinary response team leaders and support cross-functional collaboration among clinicians, advocates, law enforcement, and other multidisciplinary professionals. o Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development to direct reports and broader teams. o Manage staffing levels to ensure coverage, appropriate case allocation, and team well-being.

        Coordination of Services:

        o Facilitate high-quality collaboration among participating disciplines during case planning and response activities. o Lead multidisciplinary case conferences and critical incident debriefings as necessary. o Support rapid mobilization and sustained engagement during crises, ensuring the right resources and expertise are deployed.

          Partnership & Community Engagement:

          o Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies, including child welfare, law enforcement, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations. o Represent Dee Norton in interagency meetings, task forces, and community coalitions. o Promote public awareness and education around multidisciplinary response practices and systems of care.

            Compliance, Quality Assurance, & Risk Management:

            o Ensure that all responses meet relevant ethical, legal, and accreditation standards. o Monitor program fidelity to evidence-based practices and make adjustments based on outcomes and evaluation data. o Implement risk management strategies to safeguard clients, staff, and partnering agencies.

              Program Development & Evaluation:

              o Design and oversee evaluation and continuous improvement activities to measure program impact and effectiveness. o Produce and present program evaluation results for internal and external leadership, funders, and stakeholders. o Assist in grant writing, and manage program-specific budgets and resources.

              Qualifications:
              Education & Experience:
              • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Law, Health Administration, or a related field preferred.
              • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in multidisciplinary, cross-systems and/or community work, including at least 3 years in a leadership management role.
              • Demonstrated experience in crisis response, child advocacy, behavioral health services, community health, or related fields.
              Licensure/Certification:
              • Clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) preferred for clinically managing cases.
              • Specialized certification (e.

              g., Certified Child Welfare Specialist, Certified Forensic Interviewer, etc.) are desirable.

              Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
              • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, systems of care models, and collaborative cross-sector practices.
              • Expertise in navigating complex cases involving child abuse, PSB, domestic violence, or critical incident responses.
              • Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.
              • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
              • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
              • Cultural competence and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
              • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain the highest ethical standards.
              • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, case management systems, and virtual collaboration.
              Other Responsibilities:
              • Participate in a minimum of 2 public awareness and/or fundraising events annually.
              • Abide by and meet all grant requirements and objectives.
              • Meet other needs as identified by the Executive Director and/or Leadership Team.
              Working Conditions:
              • Typical office environment with frequent field-based activities at community sites, schools, hospitals, or law enforcement agencies.
              • May involve responding to critical incidents outside regular business hours (evening and weekends).
