This is a full-time director position that reports directly to the Executive Director of Empowerment Services. The Program Director assists in the overall operation of Inspiritus with emphasis on planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating Inspiritus’ many empowerment programs. PD must embody the highest professional ethics and standards and demonstrate warmth and compassion for those seeking assistance from the Empowerment team.

K Responsibilities:
Manages program staff and provides guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Works closely with the program staff and the Executive Director in executing overall program goals. Supervises the management of facilities and materials. Oversees the operation of the facilities in the absence of the Executive Director. Develops, improves, and implements systems to track program outcomes, measure effectiveness, and evaluate impact. Works with program staff to assess and adjust programs to ensure continuous improvement. Provides analysis and reports for grants and reporting. Leads the planning, development, and execution of all empowerment programs. Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve desired outcomes. Prepares and maintains the monthly calendar and collaborates closely with staff members in implementing the activities on the calendar. Increases awareness of program activities and promotes activities through social media and other means to foster community engagement and awareness. Builds, maintains, and expand relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and community organizations to enhance program reach and sustainability. Represent the organization at community meetings and events. Provides direct client service work as needed. Serve as backup to program and office personnel. Leads the team in advancing volunteer engagement and satisfaction. Leads, recruits, and coordinates volunteer activities with the empowerment staff. Ensure all programs comply with relevant regulations and standards. Contributes to the organization’s long-term strategic planning and the development of new program initiatives to further its mission and goals while enhancing program delivery, reach, and evaluation. Along with program staff, develop and implements Program Committees with representatives from the communities served. Evaluates participant satisfaction and program effectiveness through surveys and professional observation. Oversee collection of Program and statistical data and other reports as required by the CEO and Board. Utilize this data to assess Program utilization trends and to plan for Program expansion and/or reduction, if necessary. Facilitate a weekly meeting for all program staff and attend, when possible, monthly, or bimonthly supervision to monitor program execution. Conduct written annual performance reviews for program staff. Oversee alongside the Executive Director intern placement site and recruit, interview, select, and train interns. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and as a team member. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word; proficient in database management and maintaining electronic data files and records. Ability to shift priorities quickly and unexpectedly. Proven ability to be flexible and work cooperatively with internal and external customers and stakeholders. Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with older adults and a diverse population. Must have a deep commitment to our mission and values. CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to be trained; maintain knowledge of AED (defibrillator) A valid TN driver’s license including a good motor vehicle record, and appropriate automobile insurance. Bachelor’s degree in social services, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field. Prefer bilingual in Spanish and/or 1-3 years working with the Hispanic/Latino population. 1-3 years’ experience in program planning, marketing, promotion, and recruitment. 1-3 years’ experience working in a customer/client-focused environment. Prefer at least one year’s experience working with active older adults and volunteers, working in a non-profit agency, and/or working in health and fitness.
