Purchasing Clerk Details:

Temp-to-Hire position $18.00 to $20.00 /hour Full Time work available First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm) The PC will efficiently purchase, price, manage inventory, create the best methods for day-to-day purchasing operations. Vendor Management

• Establish relationships with Suppliers. Evaluate & maintain vendor quotes to determine the most desirable Suppliers. Negotiate with Suppliers. Procurement
• Place stock & drop ship orders. Maintain purchase order status & monitor shipments. Verify all invoices/pack slips match P.O.’s. Review & verify freight charges. Pricing
• Keep pricing current & update system pricing, reconcile & minimize cost variances, identify cost improvements & services with Suppliers, resolve invoice discrepancies. Inventory
• regularly review inventory, improve inventory turns, reduce back-order rates, monitor inventory accuracy across multiple Distribution Centers.

Purchasing Clerk Qualifications:

Position Requirements:

High School diploma with 5 years’ experience OR College degree with 3 years’ experience. Advanced computer skills incl MS Office Suite Must be detail oriented. Excellent critical thinking, analytical skills, & problem-solving skills Excellent written, verbal, & interpersonal communication skills Experience working with ERP programs/Forecasting Applications.

Preferred skills:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business preferred. Experience with industrial or commercial purchasing Applicant may be subject to a background check Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
