Job Specific Performs receiving activities according to accepted procedures,verifies receipt of materials and supplies as specified on purchaseorder documents; Transports materials to appropriate storage area in a timelymanner Completes computerized receiving reports and transmitsreceiving documentation Shared Services Notifies Storeroom Supervisor and Purchasing of any receivingrelated discrepancies, to facilitate request for credit orreplacement or damaged or discrepant goods Maintains organized purchase order and receiving documentationfiles Ensure proper dating, tagging of all food products, materialsplaced into storeroom Performs all operations necessary to maintain the cleanlinessand safety of the receiving area Monitors temperatures in refrigerated storage areas Ensures storeroom cleanliness and adherence to all food safetysanitation requirements Assists in the performance of monthly/quarterly/annualinventories Attends required hotel meetings to: keep abreast of in-houseactivities/promotions and events; maintain communications withother departments throughout the hotel Attends departmental meetings as required to communicateeffectively with all Storeroom/Receiving personnel to ensure thatthey are kept current with pertinent hotel information andactivities Other duties as assignedQualifications Thorough knowledge of meat, produce, seafood and groceryspecifications and standard grading classifications Ability to operate basic office equipment, keyboard 25 wpm Working knowledge of computer software to include inventorycontrol, Win95, Word, Excel Effective organizational and communication skills Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends andholidays Must be available Thursday-Sunday. 10 hour shifts and variableshift during the week.
