2331 Description Purchasing Assistant – Construction Local electrical/transportation construction industrypany seeking self-motivated Purchasing Assistant capable of providing various administrative, procurement, and procurement support functions.

Paid Holidays Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Order entry, purchase order processing.
expediting orders, problem resolution, and filing of paperwork.
Review ⪯hend blueprints, plans, and specifications to perform material take-off.
Contacting Vendors/Suppliers for material quotations and some negotiating of purchases.
Coordinating deliveries and order expediting with material suppliers.
Interfacing with other departments and field personnel as needed.
Other tasks and duties as assigned to maintain the necessary functions of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older.
1 to 2 years of industry-related experience preferred.
Construction background and procurement experience required.
Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Fast learner of processes and procedures.
Proficient at multitasking and prioritizing.
Excellentmunication skills (written and verbal) and effective problem-solving skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Spectrum. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2 years of experience in Industry preferred Pre-Screen Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:

Driver’s License preferred, but not required
